About

I wrote my first short story when I was in elementary school; it was a classroom assignment and I wrote a story about a fairy. I loved the entire writing process and though I wasn't ready to be a best seller then, I knew that I'd found something I loved!

I have been writing, on and off, in a more serious vein, since high school. I began as a poet and published a few poems in national anthologies.

I have always loved stories and found my mind to be active with the possibilities of this and that. There's nothing I love more than the statement, "What if" as that is often the first step in flushing out an entire story.

My favorite genre to read is fantasy, but I'm an eclectic reader. I love anything that can draw me in and certainly books that surprise me. My friends often joke about my proclivity to gargoyles and all things dark. What can I say, ever since I encountered first Edgar Allan Poe and then Stephen King, I've been fascinated and I have yet to stumble upon an equal for either of them.
